About this scholarship
The Provost Scholar award at Northwest Missouri State University provides six thousand dollars per fall and spring semester to first-time freshmen who qualify through the admission merit chart based on high school GPA and ACT or SAT scores. It is the highest tier of automatic admission-based freshman scholarships and is mutually exclusive with other merit tiers such as Dean's Scholar, Distinguished Scholar, Academic Excellence, University Scholar, and Northwest Merit. Students are automatically considered when they apply for admission by May 1 and need no separate scholarship application. Renewal requires a 3.50 Northwest cumulative GPA and completion of twenty-four credit hours each academic year for up to four consecutive years.
