About this scholarship
Every participant in Northern Michigan University's Presidential Scholars Competition receives an award. Students who are not selected for the Harden, Presidential, Waldo, or Kaye-Munson scholarships automatically receive a one-time five-hundred-dollar competition award. Eligible high school seniors and transfer students must register for the competition, be admitted as degree-seeking students, and complete both the small-group activity and interview. The guarantee that every participant takes home an award makes the competition accessible to high-achieving students regardless of final ranking among the top scholarship tiers.
