About this scholarship

The President's Award is the highest tier of the International Student Excellence Award for incoming international first-year students admitted to Iowa State University. Recipients are automatically selected based on high school GPA and SAT or ACT scores submitted with the admission application; no separate scholarship form is required. The award provides fourteen thousand dollars per year for up to eight semesters or until degree completion and applies to undergraduate tuition and fees only. Students must accept admission by May 1 for fall or December 15 for spring, remain continuously enrolled in at least twelve credits, maintain a 3.00 cumulative GPA, and hold international tuition assessment. Excellence awards cannot combine with the International Merit Scholarship.
