About this scholarship
The Otto William Geist Fund provides scholarship or fellowship grants to UAF graduate students majoring in anthropology, archaeology, or paleontology through the Museum of the North endowment. For 2026, individual awards may be considered up to $3,500 to support master's and dissertation research projects. Applicants download the Geist Fund application and guidelines from the museum page and submit materials by March 27 to the curator of archaeology. Awards support research expenses for UAF students in the listed departments.
