About this scholarship
The OHIO Next Generation Award is a legacy scholarship for full-time first-year Athens campus students who pay the nonresident surcharge and whose parent or legal guardian holds an Ohio University degree. For the 2025-2026 academic year the award is valued at eleven thousand two hundred fourteen dollars, with amounts subject to change. Applicants submit a complete admission application with supporting materials by November 15 and must show a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a strong college prep curriculum. Recipients must submit housing contracts and deposits by May 1 to receive the award.
