About this scholarship
The Occidental Commitment Scholarship guarantees a minimum institutional merit award for students admitted through Early Decision I or Early Decision II beginning with the Fall 2026 entering class. No separate scholarship application is required, and admitted Early Decision students automatically receive at least twenty thousand dollars per year unless awarded a higher-value merit scholarship that replaces it. The award is renewable for eight semesters up to eighty thousand dollars total. Students deferring enrollment for one year retain the scholarship for their designated entry term.
