About this scholarship
The NYU Promise is a university commitment for first-year undergraduates admitted to the NYU New York City campus. Families with annual income under $100,000 per year and typical assets pay no tuition. NYU meets full demonstrated financial need for all students admitted as first-years, and scholarships adjust to meet tuition increases each year for those cohorts. Students are considered automatically when they apply for admission and submit financial aid materials including the CSS Profile and FAFSA by published deadlines. The initiative covers tuition for qualifying families and can include additional funds for housing and other expenses based on demonstrated need.
