About this scholarship
The NYCHA-CUNY Resident Scholarship Program, sponsored by the New York City Housing Authority, annually awards $1,000 scholarships to qualifying NYCHA residents enrolled full time in degree programs at CUNY community or senior colleges. Applicants must be authorized NYCHA or Section 8 residents with at least 24 earned credits, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and current enrollment as undergraduate or graduate students at any CUNY college. Ten scholarships are awarded each year. Applications and eligibility details are available through the Opportunity NYCHA website. Students who applied in prior years and still meet criteria are encouraged to reapply. Award decisions are determined by NYCHA.
