About this scholarship
The Northwest Merit scholarship awards one thousand dollars per fall and spring semester to entering freshmen whose GPA and test scores qualify on the lowest published tier of Northwest's automatic merit chart. Students receive consideration automatically when they apply for admission by May 1 and meet standard admission requirements. Northwest Merit is mutually exclusive with other admission-based freshman merit awards. Recipients may renew by earning a 2.75 Northwest cumulative GPA and completing twenty-four credit hours each academic year for up to four consecutive years, making it an entry-level merit award for students who demonstrate solid college readiness.
