About this scholarship
UAB awards this $4,000 per year scholarship to National Merit Finalists who name UAB as their first-choice college with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation after admission. The award stacks on university admission merit scholarships, but students may receive only one of UAB's national recognition scholarships and are given the highest amount for which they qualify. NMSC sends finalist rosters to UAB on a rolling basis beginning in early March. Recipients must maintain full-time undergraduate enrollment and UAB scholarship renewal requirements.
