About this scholarship
This renewable portfolio-based scholarship supports incoming first-year UAF undergraduates admitted to bachelor's degrees in Art, Music, or Theatre and Film who demonstrate artistic talent. Applicants submit the Nanook Fine and Performing Arts Scholarship application with a short essay and portfolio or performance samples by November 15. Faculty evaluate artistic potential rather than incoming GPA. Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 per year for four years, and recipients must enroll full time and maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress each fall and spring semester.
