About this scholarship
MAC Scholars Program scholarship for incoming CMU freshmen who through past activities or educational aspirations show interest in advancing underrepresented groups in American society. Full-time on-campus recipients receive $4,125 per academic year renewable for up to four years, combinable with the Maroon and Gold Merit Award. Renewal requires earning at least 24 credit hours each year and maintaining a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Students apply through the CMU applicant portal after admission; the application deadline is January 15 each year.
