About this scholarship
Incoming domestic out-of-state first-year students admitted to Michigan State University are automatically considered for the MSU Non-resident Scholarship. Students living in Ohio or Pennsylvania are not eligible. Applicants must have at least a 3.4 GPA. Students must be admitted by February 1 to be considered.
Award levels are based on SAT/ACT scores and high school GPA at the end of junior year and can be up to $15,000 per year for qualifying educational expenses, pending available funding. Recipients must maintain out-of-state residency. The number of awards varies.
In most cases no additional scholarship application is required beyond applying for admission.
