About this scholarship
Dependent children under age 23 or spouses of Mississippi law enforcement officers, full-time firefighters, or volunteer firefighters who were fatally injured or permanently and totally disabled in the line of duty may receive tuition assistance at a Mississippi state-supported public college or university.
The award provides full tuition, required fees, and average campus housing costs for up to eight semesters. Recipients must maintain a minimum 2.5 college GPA and full-time enrollment.
Apply through the Mississippi Aid Application Portal from October 1 through September 15 each year.
The program honors public safety workers who suffered fatal injuries or permanent total disability while performing official duties.
