Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grants

Mississippi residents with one year of state residency who earned a minimum 3.5 high school GPA and an ACT score of 29 or higher, or National Merit Finalist or Semifinalist status, may apply for the Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant to attend an approved Mississippi college or university full time.

Awards of up to $2,500 per academic year cover tuition and required fees and may be renewed for up to eight semesters.

Apply through the Mississippi Aid Application Portal from October 1 through September 15, with supporting documents due October 15.

Created by the Mississippi Legislature, MESG supports high-achieving students pursuing a first certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree at approved in-state institutions.
