Eligibility
About this scholarship
Métis students enrolled full-time in a SAIT certificate, diploma, applied degree, or degree program may apply. You must be a citizen of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government and a confirmed registered member of the Otipemisiwak Métis Student Association. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen and Alberta resident with 90 days of consistent residency, demonstrate financial need and academic achievement (minimum GPA 2.00), and not be receiving funding from the Rupertsland Institute or listed on the Indian Registry.
Awards range from $1,500 to $10,000 depending on need. Priority goes to citizens who have never received funding from Rupertsland Institute or the Métis Education Foundation.
Submit a letter outlining your engagement with or contributions to the Otipemisiwak Métis community. Apply through mySAIT Student Awards and Financial Aid; deadlines are November 28, February 28, and May 30.
