About this scholarship
The McNair Scholars Program at the University of North Georgia prepares sophomores, juniors, and seniors from all UNG campuses for post-graduate studies through faculty-mentored research and scholarly activities. Participants who are first-generation college students with financial need or members of groups traditionally underrepresented in graduate education receive academic advising, GRE preparation, graduate school application assistance, and a Summer Research Institute. Participants in good standing may receive a financial stipend ranging from $500 to $2,500. Students are matched with faculty mentors for year-round research beginning in fall and continuing through spring and summer.
