About this scholarship

Premier U.S. middle school mathematics competition. Students advance through school, chapter, state, and national levels; 224 students and state teams compete at the RTX MATHCOUNTS National Competition each May. The national champion receives the $20,000 Donald G. Weinert College Scholarship; Countdown Round runner-up earns $7,500; first-place team members each receive $2,000 scholarships. Open to grades 6–8 through registered school or homeschool programs.
