About this scholarship
Twenty-five-hundred-dollar award for one rising junior in the Carnegie Mellon School of Design who combines outstanding design with effective use of color, honoring fiber artist Marilyn Meltzer. Sophomore applicants submit a design portfolio and one-page project or study proposal explaining how advanced study will deepen color theory understanding. Funds must be used within one year for summer study, study abroad, or fall semester advanced study. Faculty vote on submissions; applications for the twenty twenty-six cycle were due March twenty-seventh through the school's application portal.
