The Mānoa Academic Merit Scholarship automatically recognizes academic strength in first-year degree-seeking students who enroll at UH Mānoa the fall after completing high school. Award amounts range from $2,000 to $4,000 per year for four years based on residency and high school GPA. Hawaiʻi residents with a 3.70+ GPA receive $4,000; residents with 3.50–3.69 receive $3,000; residents with 3.20–3.49 receive $2,500. Non-resident U.S. citizens with 3.70+ GPA receive $4,000. No separate application is required beyond admission. Recipients starting Fall 2026 must maintain a 3.20 GPA and earn at least 12 credits per semester.
