About this scholarship
The Lyle Engineering Scholarship supports outstanding engineering applicants in each Southern Methodist University admitted class who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership in their schools and communities. SMU awards about $2,500 per semester for eight semesters on average to students who list an engineering discipline as a primary academic interest and submit admission applications by the January 15 Regular Decision or Early Decision II deadline. Selection considers class rank, academic record, and service documented in the SMU admission application. Recipients must maintain full-time enrollment of 12 credit hours while receiving the scholarship.
