About this scholarship
The Lone Star Scholarship at Texas State University awards $2,500 per year ($10,000 total) to ten competitively selected incoming freshmen each year who rank in the top ten percent of their graduating class. Students must apply for admission to Texas State and submit the freshman scholarship application through the Bobcat Online Scholarship System by December 15. The award renews for up to four years with a 3.25 cumulative Texas State GPA and twelve credit hours completed each semester while maintaining undergraduate status and not having earned a bachelor's degree. Total financial aid and scholarships cannot exceed the cost of attendance.
