About this scholarship
The Kettering University Merit Scholarship is the primary automatic academic award for incoming freshmen and transfer students admitted to Kettering University. Awards are determined through a holistic review of academic performance, including GPA, at the time of admission and are not increased later. Transfer merit amounts use GPA from at least twelve earned credit hours at the prior institution. No separate scholarship application is required beyond admission. Merit scholarships apply to tuition only, renew for up to ten undergraduate terms within five years, and require Satisfactory Academic Progress. Recipients must enroll full time for the full award amount.
