About this scholarship
The Kearney Health Opportunities Program awards a full tuition scholarship at UNK for up to 120 credit hours to rural Nebraska students preparing for healthcare careers at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. KHOP is a cooperative program between UNK and UNMC for students committed to practicing healthcare in rural Nebraska. Applicants must be admitted to UNK, be rural Nebraska residents, score at least 23 on the ACT composite with the science section completed, and apply through Scholarship Manager in MyBLUE by December 1. Eligible health fields include medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, physical therapy, and other listed UNMC programs. Selected students follow a special curriculum and receive guaranteed UNMC admission upon satisfactory completion.
