About this scholarship
The Kaleel and Josephine I. Jones Scholarship was funded through a 2008 trust that became one of the largest bequests in Lake Superior State University history. Kaleel and Josephine Jones of Detroit supported LSSU students in engineering, nursing, and education through this named fund, while a separate scholarship honors their son in criminal justice. Successful candidates for this award must major in engineering, nursing, or education with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
