Eligibility
About this scholarship
First-year full-time undergraduate students newly admitted to the University of Ottawa who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected/refugee-status holders, demonstrate financial need, have overcome adversity, and graduated within the last three years from a high school in the National Capital Region, Eastern Ontario (Pembroke to Cornwall to Hawkesbury), Northern Ontario, or Gatineau/West Quebec may apply. Recipients must maintain full-time undergraduate status.
Four awards of $5,500 per year (up to $22,000 over four years). Apply through Online Scholarships and Bursaries in uoZone with the Financial Questionnaire, CV, a reference letter on adversity, and a 500-word personal statement by March 31.
The Joyce Family Foundation Bursary supports first-year students from these regions who have faced adversity and need financial help.
