H. Emerson Snyder Entrance Scholarship

For undergraduate students entering first year in the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary who show academic merit and financial need. Recipients must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and residents of Alberta. Up to three bursaries of up to $9,000 each are offered annually. University of Calgary undergraduates entering first year in the Schulich School of Engineering may receive this scholarship on academic merit. Seven awards of $5,000 are offered annually. Apply through the My UCalgary Portal High School Awards application.

Undergraduate students entering first year in any faculty at the University of Calgary may receive this bursary if they are a dependent of a University of Calgary Support Staff employee who holds a Regular or Sessional full-time position and has completed three or more years of service when the award is made. Dependents of a deceased employee are also eligible if that staff member held a Regular or Sessional full-time role at the time of death and had completed three or more years of service. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents. One bursary of up to $2,200 is offered annually on academic merit and financial need.
