About this scholarship

Merit scholarship for undergraduates admitted to the Philip Merrill College of Journalism, awarded for up to eight consecutive semesters. The maximum annual award is $5,000 and may be reduced if combined merit aid would exceed cost of attendance. Recipients must remain journalism majors, register for at least 12 credits, maintain a 3.20 cumulative GPA, and complete 30 credits each academic year. The scholarship cannot combine with Banneker/Key, Frederick Douglass, Maryland Transfer, President's, or Dean's admissions scholarships.
