About this scholarship
The Joseph Dickerson Memorial Award honors Joe Dickerson, an EOU freshman who died in a 2009 auto accident. His parents endowed this annual award through the Art Program for EOU students who best exemplify Joe's dedication, curiosity, and creative spirit. Recipients are selected by art faculty from participants in the All-Campus Juried Student Exhibition and announced at the Nightingale Gallery opening reception each May. Students submit work to the juried exhibition to be considered. The award recognizes creative energy and enthusiasm for learning in the visual arts at Eastern Oregon University.
