About this scholarship
The Joseph and Carmen Unanue Endowed Scholarship supports incoming freshmen and incoming international freshmen at Seton Hall who demonstrate outstanding academics, financial need, and a genuine appreciation for Latino culture and history. Awards range from $3,000 to $6,000 per year, divided evenly between fall and spring semesters. Applicants must hold at least a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA, submit a one-page essay on Latino culture and history, and enroll full time. Recipients must file the FAFSA each undergraduate year, attend two Unanue Latino Institute events annually including volunteering at one, meet with the Institute director once per semester, and complete at least one Latino Studies course before senior spring.
