About this scholarship
The Johnson Scholarship, established by Gene and Vickie Johnson, covers in-state tuition and fees for three renewable years for incoming first-year UNC Charlotte students whose families demonstrate financial need above Pell or other federal grant eligibility. Recipients in any major must join an Honors College multi-year honors program and receive specialized honors advising, programming, and access to Levine Hall housing. Students who complete the Honors College application by December 1 and file the FAFSA by January 1 are automatically considered. Minimum eligibility includes a 3.20 unweighted GPA and SAT 1200 or ACT 22.
