About this scholarship
John Carroll Scholarships honor Georgetown's founder, Father John Carroll, who began planning an academy for Catholic citizens of the young American Republic after being appointed superior of the American Mission in 1784. These need-based awards are part of Georgetown's donor-funded undergraduate scholarship portfolio and help meet demonstrated financial need alongside loans and work-study. Students are considered when they submit standard Georgetown financial aid applications including the FAFSA and CSS Profile. There is no separate application. Recipients may be asked to submit an optional scholarship impact statement for donors.
