About this scholarship
Canadian doctoral students pursuing study in Canada or within the Commonwealth may apply. Up to three IODE War Memorial Scholarships of $15,000 each are offered annually. The National Chapter of Canada IODE established the program in 1918 to commemorate Canadians who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom; early bursaries went to children of those killed or permanently disabled while fighting for Canada.
