About this scholarship
The IME-BECAS Scholarship at the University of North Georgia supports students of Mexican or Latinx descent through a partnership between the UNG Foundation and the Consulate General of Mexico in Atlanta, funded via the Institute of Mexicans Abroad. Recipients receive $1,000 per semester for the academic year and participate in a two-semester leadership development program with Latinx faculty or staff mentors and community service opportunities. Applications are open to full-time, degree-seeking UNG students with at least a 2.5 GPA and demonstrated financial need.
