About this scholarship
The Ignatian Scholarship is Canisius University's top freshman merit award for incoming undergraduates with the strongest academic records. Canisius automatically evaluates admitted freshmen using comprehensive high school records from freshman through junior year; no separate scholarship application is required. Recipients are notified in the admission decision letter. The award is renewable for four years of full-time undergraduate study while the student maintains a 3.0 cumulative GPA at Canisius. If the GPA requirement is not met after the second semester, the award may convert to the Peter Canisius Scholarship level.
