About this scholarship
The Hyer Scholarship at Southwestern University allows eligible transfer students to reinstate a previously offered freshman merit scholarship when that amount exceeds their Finch Scholarship award. Transfer students in their first or second year of college with sixty-three or fewer transferable hours who previously applied to Southwestern as freshmen and were offered admission may qualify. Dual credit, concurrent enrollment, early college, and summer courses taken immediately after high school graduation do not count toward the hour limit. Brown, Garey, Dixon, and Snodgrass scholarships cannot be reinstated through Hyer, and Hyer cannot combine with the PTK or NSCS add-on.
