About this scholarship
The Hugh Roy Cullen Leadership Scholarship provides fifteen hundred dollars per academic year to new UHD freshmen entering in the fall, paid as seven hundred fifty dollars each semester. Applicants need a minimum 2.7 high school GPA on a four-point scale, must have graduated from high school within the last two years, and must enroll in twelve or more UHD college credit hours each semester. Official transcripts are required for admission acceptance. The award may renew when renewal criteria are met. UHD evaluates freshman merit scholarship candidates from admission records, prioritizing the highest-ranked students, and notifies selected recipients by mail with a required scholarship agreement submission by the stated deadline.
