About this scholarship
The Howard Roepke Research Scholarship provides junior and senior GGIS majors at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign up to two thousand five hundred dollars to conduct faculty-supervised research. Recipients join a faculty research team, collect and analyze data, and may assist with manuscripts while working no more than ten hours per week during the academic year or over a summer term. Applicants must be declared Geography and Geographic Information Science majors who outline specific research duties and goals in the department application after consulting with a faculty mentor about project fit.
