Top Scholar award for incoming non-South Carolina resident freshmen at the University of South Carolina Columbia campus. Up to twenty students with strong academic records and leadership are named Horseshoe Scholars annually. Recipients receive $11,000 per year plus in-state tuition rate for four years. Applicants must submit the general university application and South Carolina Honors College application by November 15 and attend mandatory Top Scholar Weekend interviews.
