About this scholarship
Hoover-Langdon Scholarships award twenty-five hundred dollars each fall to San José State University undergraduates selected for financial need, academic achievement, and community service. The endowment began in 1954 through the merger of the Hoover Fund and William Langdon Fund and continues with support from donors including the College Futures Foundation. Applicants must hold a minimum GPA of 3.25 and demonstrate need verified through financial aid. Awards are not renewable. Students apply through the Spartan Scholarship portal on the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office website during the annual application window, typically closing May 1.
