About this scholarship
The Honors Academic Excellence Scholarship awards $5,000 per year for four years to four incoming first-year students entering Westminster University's Honors College. Recipients show promise in academic excellence, campus leadership, visibility, and fit with the Honors College learning environment. Applying for this scholarship does not affect Honors College admission decisions. Required materials include a one-to-three-page essay reflecting on Toni Morrison's advice about using freedom and power to empower others, with a personal example. The priority application deadline is February 1, with awards announced in early March. International first-year Honors students may also apply.
