About this scholarship
The Carthage College History/English/Creative Writing Scholarship awards one full-tuition scholarship per year to an incoming freshman demonstrating dedication to history, English, or creative writing. Scholarship recipients choosing creative writing must major in English with an emphasis in creative writing rather than only completing the minor. Submit admission application, scholarship application, and one-page interest essay by November 1. Qualified applicants attend a mandatory November second-round campus event. The award incorporates all Carthage assistance, may combine with federal and state grants not to exceed full tuition, and renews four years.
