About this scholarship
Hillsdale College Grants are privately funded, need-based gifts awarded each year to undergraduates who show promise and exceptional financial need as determined through the Confidential Family Financial Statement. Need is calculated as Hillsdale's cost of attendance minus the family contribution, and grants are combined with scholarships, institutional loans, and campus employment into a complete package. Because Hillsdale refuses federal and state student aid, these grants replace outside need-based resources that students might otherwise receive at other institutions. A limited number of grants are available annually. Recipients must be admitted degree-seeking students who complete the CFFS after admission and maintain satisfactory academic progress. Grant amounts vary with individual need and available private funding.
