About this scholarship

The Hilda López-Arce Scholarship at the University of Illinois Chicago awards five hundred dollars annually to a Latinx undergraduate who exhibits leadership and has contributed to the Latino community on or off campus. Eligible applicants must be currently enrolled UIC undergraduates in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA and at least twelve credit hours earned. The scholarship is open to undocumented UIC students with or without DACA status. The selection committee reviews community involvement and leadership qualities each year and publishes past recipients on the Chancellor's Committee on the Status of Latinos website.
