About this scholarship
Waldorf awards eight Hero Behind the Hero scholarships annually to spouses or children of U.S. military service members and public safety personnel including firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, and dispatchers. Each award covers tuition for up to sixty online credit hours over three years toward one online degree; textbooks are provided through Waldorf's Loan a Book program. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, must begin coursework within ninety days of the award, and maintain a 2.0 undergraduate or 3.0 graduate GPA. Four application cycles run January through November with awards in April, July, October, and January.
