The Harry B. and Alice N. Sheftel Endowed Prize in Economics is awarded annually by the Clark University Economics Department to an outstanding undergraduate student in economics. In years when extraordinary scholarship by a graduate student or faculty member deserves recognition, the department may instead honor that work. The prize is part of Clark's set of academic achievement awards for economics students and is conferred by faculty review rather than a separate student application. It complements the David R. Porter Prize for senior excellence and the Roger Van Tassel Book Prize for younger economics students at Clark.
