About this scholarship

The Hans Walker, Jr. Memorial Scholarship at the University of North Dakota School of Law supports incoming first-year American Indian law students. First preference goes to enrolled members of the Three Affiliated Tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation, followed by enrolled members of the Spirit Lake Nation, Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, or Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate. If no preferred applicants qualify, enrolled members of any federally or state recognized tribe may be considered. Recipients are selected from the law school scholarship application pool each admissions cycle.
