About this scholarship
The H. Thayer Fletcher Scholarship Fund is the first endowed scholarship established at Lake Superior State University by a native of Sault Ste. Marie dedicated to helping worthy young people. It is awarded to entering freshmen, college transfers, and current LSSU students from Michigan and Canada who have achieved academic excellence in high school, prior colleges, or at LSSU. Students apply through Scholarship Universe when foundation scholarships are open. Selection emphasizes strong academic records across the student's educational history.
