About this scholarship

The Great Salt Lake Scholarship is a University of Utah merit award for first-year, first-time students with an unweighted cumulative high school GPA of 3.50 to 3.69 who complete their admission application by December 1. Utah residents and non-residents from states outside the Western Undergraduate Exchange program may qualify. Recipients receive $3,000 per academic year applied to tuition and mandatory fees while enrolled in at least 12 credit hours on the main campus. The scholarship is renewable for up to eight fall and spring semesters when recipients maintain a 3.50 cumulative GPA and complete at least 24 credit hours each academic year.
