About this scholarship
Each year Gonzaga University's Music Department awards close to one hundred music scholarships to instrumental, vocal, and composition students regardless of academic major. Scholarships support membership in performing ensembles and require enrollment in applied lessons and a performance ensemble each semester; music majors must declare music, complete Music Theory I and II in the first year, and participate in a major performance ensemble. Awards are renewable up to four years and are offered in addition to other Gonzaga merit and need-based aid. Applicants submit a scholarship audition application and complete a live or recorded audition by the department deadline. Students need not be admitted to Gonzaga before auditioning but must begin the university application process.
